At the St James, we are big fans of Tiki. For all those that are unaware of Tiki culture, let me explain.
It is a kind of desert island voodoo style with primitive carvings, loads of bamboo and leopard print,
and of course Rum. Tiki was at its height in the USA in the '40s and '50s. People wanted to escape
from modern life and the experiencing the exotica of the sun and surf. The music was either chilled
Lounge or frantic Surf music.

We would like to think that the Tiki spirit lives on,
here at the St James and we have recently introduced
a new Rum Cocktail List that highlights the huge
variety of rums we have.

From the success of last year’s Tiki Surf Nights,
we will be partying all Summer long with our
monthly night of DJs spinning
Surf, Lounge, Grind, Exotica
& Rock’n’Roll.
With Rum Punches and Leis for everyone.
So get your Hawaiian Shirts and Grass Skirts
and join us this Summer.
